I want to become a neurosurgeon and help improve the quality of life of people in my community." Habari yako! How are you, friends? It's been a while since we last updated our friends on how we're doing at Jitegemee. Just like everyone else, we have been struggling to deal with the impact of the Covid-19 crisis. But we are still here, and we are grateful for all the support our friends have shown us! Vocational Students Attend Biggest Skills Show in Kenya

Vocational Field Trip

In February 2019, our Vocational students traveled to Nairobi to attend Kenya's biggest skills show - Hands on the Future Kenya Skills Show 2019 - which was attended by over 20,000 young people from across the country. The theme of the show was #JijengeNaSkills (Build yourself through skills) - a vision we subscribe to here at Jitegemee. Look who’s moving on in 2019!

Last year was a big one for so many of our students and parents who took their education and self-empowerment to the next level! The end of primary school marks an important point in the academic careers of many Kenyan students. At the end of the school year, students take the pivotal Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam. Such Wonder – A Field Trip to Lake Nakuru

In October 2018, students from our 14th Vocational Program class left Machakos for their first field trip. They headed to Lake Nakuru National Park on the annual field trip, but it wouldn’t be just the animals and beautiful landscapes that amazed them. Students gathered at the Huduma Center bus station in Machakos Town hours before the bus even arrived.
