2017 at Jitegemee started with a bang! In January, we provided support for 65 primary school students, 18 secondary students, and 11 college students to return to school. We met these students early in the year to provide them with any fees or tuition they may need for the first term, along with new school uniforms, shoes and textbooks for the coming year.
We wish all our students well as they work towards academic success in the new school year!
This year, we also welcomed 12 new primary school students, and met with them and their parents for their orientation to Jitegemee.
We also received a generous donation of software from Avallain. Their Education Director, Martina Amoth, visited Jitegemee and installed their digital curriculum content on our computers. Our primary school students will make good use of this software during the school holidays as they revise the work they’ve learned during the year. Thank you Avallain!
We are looking forward to a year of success for Jitegemee students and parents!
