In 2025, Jitegemee reached new heights of community transformation, driven by a mission to break the cycle of poverty through education and economic empowerment. From launching innovative childcare centers in Matuu and Machakos to serving over 750,000 meals and supporting 433 students through education sponsorships, our impact is a testament to the power of collective generosity. We are particularly proud of our partnership with Terre des Hommes Netherlands expanding our reach to Mlolongo, providing a lifeline of vocational skills to 116 children & youth at risk of exploitation. Our impact reached a new pinnacle with the historic admission of our first sponsored student into medical school—a powerful testament to the long-term success of our education program. Together, we implemented $314,960 worth of community interventions, creating a brighter, more self-reliant future for the children and families of Machakos.
